GAMZA SUHINDOL - Suhindol Region

GAMZA
“GAMZA:  Late ripening sort.  Distributed mainly in the
central and northeastern part of Northern Bulgaria -
Suhindol, Kramolin, Pleven and Novo Selo.  The Gamza is
the most widely spread Bulgarian wine sort. The developed
leaf is large, wider than long, round in shape, bent
upwards.  The skin has slight web-like pubescence from
the upper side and from the lower side it is pubescent
bristly with rusty nuance.  The grape is middle by size, with
wings, most often with one wing, almost compact.  The skin
is middle by thickness, frail, colored in blue-red.  Gamza
grapes are being obtained well colored, easy for drinking
wine which develops positive qualities upon aging.”

REVIVAL - Suhindol Region

BLEND - 65% CABERNET SAUVIGNON, 25% MERLOT & 10% MAVRUD
“Revival is a new blend of Bulgarian Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and
traditional Mavrud grapes.  This dry and soft, rich red wine is taking place in
today’s Bulgarian wine industry. A new generation of wine makers at the
Suhindol winery in Northern Bulgaria is dedicated to combining the country’
s ancient and long-standing wine heritage with modern wine practices.
Revival is a smooth, easy drinking wine made from grapes grown on the sun-
drenched Danube Plain.  This wine goes well with Mediterranean dishes,
pasta, red meats, yellow cheeses & feta cheese.”
