MAVRUD
“This dry special wine is made of selected grapes of the variety
Mavrud, grown exclusively in Bulgaria for centuries. Mavrud is
one of the oldest Bulgarian grape varieties used for making high
quality red wines rich in phenols. Mavrud is the unique sort of
grapes which has grown within the lands of one of the greatest
civilizations of the mankind - the Thracians. Mavrud grapes are
handpicked in the micro region of Brezovo. Grapes, combined
with discrete fruitfulness, good balance and body form the finish
of this magnificent wine with a rich touch. Taste is harmonious,
very homogeneous and well-mouth filling. The taste perception
which combines the nuance of grapes and the sense of forest
fruits form the fines of this outstanding wine. It is characterized
by pleasant acidity, freshness, complexity and harmonious
taste. This wine goes well with pasta, lamb, beef and exotic
game in combination with dried fruits, dried and smoked meats,
smoked & semi-matured yellow cheeses and feta.”
