CABERNET SAUVIGNON, SLIVEN - 85 points (CVWC)
“The Cabernet is exceptional: a youthful, dry, lightly tannic wine with good
depth and balance. It tastes of black currant, toast, and cherry. Deep red
with purple highlights. Bordeaux-like aromas of lead pencil and black
currants follow through on a medium-bodied palate with firm and drying
tannins. A substantial wine with more character than you might expect at
this price point.”

MERLOT, SLIVEN - 86 points (Chicago Value Wine Challenge)
“The Merlot is round and full bodied, with excellent fruit and flavor (black
cherry, toast, blueberry), and a lightly tannic finish. Deep ruby-red hue. Dark
fruit and licorice aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a
dry, fairly tannic finish. This is a firm and somewhat chewy style that also
has impressive depth of flavor and bright acids. A real food wine and a vast
improvement on past vintage from this producer.”
